How can light create entangled quantum states — and what can they teach us about matter? Join us for a seminar with Professor Joel David Eaves, a theoretical chemist and IAS Distinguished Scholar at the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS), Tel Aviv University.
Prof. Eaves is a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Colorado at Boulder (USA). His research lies at the intersection of quantum mechanics, statistical physics, and physical chemistry, focusing on how energy and information move through molecular systems.
In this seminar, he will present new insights into entangled spin excitons created via singlet fission — a process in which a single photon can generate two spin-entangled excitations. The talk will explore the quantum dynamics behind this phenomenon and its potential applications in next-generation optoelectronic and quantum information technologies.
